During the IDC you will use the latest teaching techniques, the complete system of PADI support materials, and will be continuously assessed on your teaching and presentation skills

You will be required to give additional teaching presentations beyond that of the usual IDC Program. This gives you an added advantage not only during the final Instructor Examination (IE), but also prepare you for your future career as a diving professional. Upon successful completion you will be awarded an IDC completion form, which is your passport to the IE

• In-water training (confined and open water)
• Knowledge development training
• EFR Instructor training
• Oxygen Provider Instructor training
• All required PADI materials

1. Be at least 18 years of age
2. Be certified as a Divemaster or equivalent
3. Be certified as a diver for a minimum of six months
4. Have 90 logged dives that include experience in night, deep and navigation
5. Be fit for diving and submit a medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months
6. Have proof of CPR and First Aid training within the last 24 months (PADI EFR course meets this requirement)
